Stereo snare width mixing

Hi,

I’ve been trying to work out how Tchad and another mix engineers get such good stereo width in their shares, I’m not just taking reverb here:)

If you take R U Mine by Arctic Monkeys and listen to only the sides of the mix you’ll here a full weight snare sound in both sides. With my mixes I only hear the reverb or overhead sound which is much much lighter. I’ve tried various things with samples and busing (usually resulting in phase issues) but on R U mine and a number of other mixes it doesn’t sound like additional snare samples.

any idea as to how to achieve this?
