Hey Tchad,
I'm André, a studio engineering student at PXL Music in Belgium. As I am in my last year I'm currently working on my bachelor's thesis. Its subject has the incredibly catchy title of "how producers and engineers achieve as perfect a result as possible when faced with a limited budget". Don't worry, it's still a work in progress. As the title suggests I'm researching what parts of a production take up the most time, money, resources... and how producers and engineers deal with these limitations. As part of my research I'm reaching out to producers and engineers to see if they'd be willing to talk to me about their process. I know money and money-saving techniques are a sensitive subject, so I won't ask any specific numbers or details. Rather I'd like to get a feel for what people generally spend the most on, see if there's a way to limit those costs, if there are techniques that help with that, and what scenarios they're applicable to. I know this might be a long shot, and it's probably not the right platform, but I still thought I'd give it a shot and ask you if you'd possibly want to talk about your process a bit, and answer some questions of mine. Any help would be much appreciated Cheers, André andre.vandorpe@student.pxl.be
